This is exactly what we mean when we say throw out the rule book and write your own story. Gemma & Matt did things their way, and we felt so lucky to be along for the ride. They held an intimate ceremony with just close family and best friends, then with cocktails in hand nestled into the cinematic corners of Clarences Company Store, wandered down the street, capturing relaxed, joy filled moments before the big surprise. Guests arrived at Clarences expecting a wedding… only to discover it had already happened! Cue hugs, happy tears, spontaneous speeches, and the kind of energy you can’t script. These two never left each other’s sides, or their guests, and the love from everyone around them was just infectious. We’re devastated this Mount Lawley gem is no longer open, because from that first planning drink to their vows in its moody-lit wall papered walls, we completely fell in love with the space. But even more so, with their way of doing things. This one’s a forever favourite!
