gnaraloo desert wedding

‘where the desert meets the sea’

1266.2 kms from their home in margaret river, 100’s of kms from the nearest town & there wasn’t anywhere else in the world they would rather be. for nikki + curly their hearts are bound to the rugged coast, waves & desert of gnaraloo station…as it is for so many surfers & fisherman who pilgrimage here every year.

for those that have never visited this raw & beautiful pocket of western australia’s north west region, it is remote, there is no reception, you bring in everything when you come to here to camp; including fresh water. we have to say that these guys created one of the best weddings we have ever been too & had the honour of documenting. in a location that isn’t exactly the easiest to get too & packing for a stay here takes some organizing, as anyone that has been would know! so throw in some wedding planning (which they absolutely nailed stress free) & the result was the most magical of days unique to them in every way. no sweating the small stuff – despite the location, the day was filled with everything that mattered & none of what didn’t. and then the weather gods delivered a dream day, the best wedding present they could be given.

so many highlights & details; i could write and write about…but for now, i’ll leave you with the images. it was fun, so so much fun. thank you n+c for having us by your sides, in a place that has our hearts too. f + t
